In consideration of the acceptance of my application to volunteer or participate in the ACLI Capital Challenge, I hereby, for myself, my heirs, my executors, and administrators, assign, waive, and release any and all rights for damages I may have or hereafter accrue to me against the sponsors and any and all individuals and groups involved in the coordination of the ACLI Capital Challenge. This waiver and release applies to all claims, demands, debts, expenses, causes of action, lawsuits, damages, and liabilities of every kind and nature, whether known or unknown, in law or equity, arising from my participation as a volunteer or as a participant in any event or activity conducted by or associated with the ACLI Capital Challenge.
I know that volunteering for or participating in a road race, track event, or trail race is a potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. By my signature, I certify that I am medically able to volunteer or participate, am in good health, and am properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official regarding any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I also agree to abide by the race rules, including but not limited to the prohibition of bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers/strollers, roller skates or inline skates, animals, and personal music players without use of headphones during the event.
I assume all risks associated with volunteering for or participating in this event, including but not limited to: falls, physical contact with other participants, volunteers, race personnel, contract service providers, employees, and spectators, including the potential contraction of a communicable disease resulting from contact with others involved in the event. I assume all risks, including but not limited to the effects of weather (high heat and/or humidity, freezing cold temperatures), traffic, and road conditions, including surrounding terrain. Additionally, I acknowledge other specific threats associated with this event (e.g., wildlife, environmental hazards, etc.).
I understand that the Team Captain and each Team Member will receive an electronic waiver by email and must sign this waiver to be eligible to run in the ACLI Capital Challenge Race.
I understand that my team registration is subject to review and approval by the race director.
I acknowledge that this event does not provide for refunds in the event of a cancellation. By signing this waiver, I consent that I am not entitled to a refund if the event is canceled, either before or during the event.
I grant permission to the event organizers to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purposes.
I understand that each participant and volunteer must sign an electronic waiver and that my registration is subject to review and approval by the event director.
